- Late work: Late work will be accepted. However, students may only receive up to 65% as the highest possible score.
- If students are present on the day an assignment is given they are expected to have it completed on the due date. Classroom discussion and review of assignments can be the most valuable part of class. If students show up to school with their work incomplete they will need actively listen and engage in the discussion. Then, students will be allowed to complete their assignments that evening or during work time that day. Because they were able to listen to all the answers and the proper way to complete the assignment, the highest grade they are able to receive is a 65%.
- Absences: I will be following the MMS policy on absences. A student will be allowed the same number of days they were absent + 1 extra day. (If you were absent 2 days, you will be given 3 make up days).
- If you are absent due to school related activities, such as athletics, band, choir, etc. You are expected to speak with me before you leave for your event to make arrangements. If you do not do this, your work will be considered late.
- Here are the steps you should take if you KNOW you are going to be absent prior to the day you are missing:
- Get a purple half sheet from the top of my filing cabinet.
- Check my website and fill out the purple sheet accordingly.
- Get any necessarily materials from the black trays on the same filing cabinet. Make sure you take materials from the correct tray.
- The same steps should be taken when you return to school if you are unexpectedly absent.
